Sky TV Workshop

Kate O'Leary from Lights On Well Being running a mental health first aid course

Kate headed over to the Sky TV HQ in Osterley, London to facilitate a stress workshop for the Sky Mobile team in preparation for the new iPhone launch. It’s absolutely essential to address mental health and well-being in the workplace, and it’s fantastic to see companies like Sky investing in these efforts.

In addition to stress balls and fidget spinners, there are many other tools and techniques that people can use to manage stress effectively. For example, mindfulness meditation, physical exercise, and deep breathing exercises have been shown to be beneficial in reducing stress levels.

It’s also worth noting that stress is not always a bad thing. In fact, a certain amount of stress can be motivating and help people perform better in their roles. However, when stress becomes chronic or overwhelming, it can have negative effects on both physical and mental health.

Kate found it encouraging to see the efforts that Sky is making to support mental health and well-being in the workplace. By continuing to prioritise these efforts and opening up conversations about mental health, we can create a more supportive and healthy work environment for everyone.
